Dental Surgeries

ABC Dental Surgery Cobham Surrey

Coveham House, Downside Bridge Rd, Cobham KT11 3EP, UK – 01932 589888

ABC Dentist is superb. The staff are all very friendly and very professional. From the moment you walk in and are met with a very friendly and warm welcome, the visits have always been great. All the surgeries are all very clean and equipped will the the most modern and high tech equipment. Whilst for some people the visit to the dentist can be a bit daunting, this is significantly reduced at ABC. Highly recommended.

Su is wonderful. Had several implants placed and the entire process from start to finish was a joy. I can see why Su was voted in a list of best aesthetic dentists.

Find Local Churches & Places of Worship

Sacred Heart Church

25 Between Streets, Cobham KT11 1AA, UK – 01932 862518

In reply to the previous poster; yes, singing is a feature of masses at Sacred Heart. I was thinking during mass on Sunday how much the singing helps us to be participants in the service rather than passive attendees so I personally welcome it. That said, not all masses last as long as the one you said you attended. I'm guessing that it was the 11:00 service. If you attended the 9:00 service instead, you would find it featured less singing. I personally like to attend the Saturday Vigil Mass where our singing is accompanied by some quite beautiful guitar music.

I disagree with the previous person's comment, the first time my husband and I attended mass here a lovely lady sitting next to us 'welcomed us' to the church. However, there is a new priest and we attended mass a few Sundays ago and I'm sorry to say my husband and I walked out. The mass was incredibly long. There was a lot of singing and we were there a full hour and we were still no where near receiving communion. We were meeting people for lunch so we had to leave otherwise we would have been late. I felt guilty walking out but over an hour's worth of mass is far too long. I do not feel it's necessary to sing nearly every single word. I prefer a shorter mass with no singing. I don't know if this was a one off as it was around the time of thanksgiving and there were lots of Americans in Cobham that weekend, but the amount of singing has put me off going back. I don't mind the odd hymn but this was just too much.

Great staff, food was really lovely. Good selection. Nice atmosphere in the evenings too. Had lunch and dinner here a few times now and always great.

Quick service, great food and had a loverly lady to share it with 👌

Côte Brasserie - Cobham

21 High St, Cobham KT11 3DH, UK – 01932 590055

We went to this restaurant since our friends who regularly visit Cobham like to eat here. Fortunately it was really nice and quiet on this occasion and we had a table at the rear. Staff were surprisingly polite and welcoming and keen to offer a good service. I liked the their customer service this evening. The starters were all presented in a clean and delightful manner and all of us them calamari, salmon and goats cheese tasted very good. Only my steak - main course failed and I was rather unimpressed for some reason the steak came out cold it was ordered medium. I didn't want to throw my toys out of the pram since our friends enjoyed their mussels, salmon and pork belly. I would eat here again and give Cote another chance to redeem this silly mistake.

Excelent food & service at a realistic price.

Wildwood

The Old Bear, River Hill, Cobham KT11 3DX, UK – 01932 860360

Good function room leading to a small garden area which lead onto bigger garden area. So plenty of room for a small group of friends and family to mingle and chat. Music was provided but bring along your own playlist and the staff there would try and accommodate it. Staff most helpful.

Great service, attentive staff and good food. We booked a private space for group of 14 adults. Room setting could have been better if a dividing door is used to separate the room and the passage way to the back garden for other diners.

Nursery and Preschools

Little Angels Preschool Nursery Cobham -Ofsted Outstanding!

Cobham Village Hall, Lushington Drive, Cobham KT11 2LU, UK – 07990 578682

This nursery and its staff have been absolutely fantastic. Our daughter has had an amazing time and its incredible what the staff can cram into a session! She was waking me up every morning telling me 'hurry up mama its time to go to nursery school!' and always came out smiling. She has gained confidence, patience, sharing and so much more. She has now started at primary school and I can honestly say I don't think the transition would have been as successful if it weren't for Little Angels. Our two boys have recently started in September and are absolutely loving it as well. Highly recommended.

I love Little Angels Nursery, my daughter is so happy there, she is so full of confidence and is learning so much. The staff are fantastic and very caring, I'm so happy I found Little Angels, it's everything I want in a nursery, when your child leaves to go to nursery, you hope they receive the same care you provide for them, and that's exactly the feeling I get when my daughter skips out the door, into and out of nursery, we're both so very happy with both the care and love and attention as well as the education she is receiving. My youngest daughter will also be attending Little Angels too and even though she'll be a lot younger starting I have every confidence she's going to love it too, she's already desperate to run in and join in the fun. Xx

Little Angels Stoke Preschool (formerly Stoke Tots)

Guide Hall, Stoke Rd, Stoke Recreation Grounds, Stoke D'Abernon, Cobham KT11 3PS, UK – 07990 578682

My little boy has been at Little Angels Stoke since April and has settled in beautifully. They were very flexible with how long I could stay with him and I really like the reassurance text they send after drop off if it's been a bit bumpy. Can't speak highly enough of the teachers who are so warm and caring, building a real bond with him. Large interior space with lots of activities and lovely large exterior space. Weekly newsletters letting us know what is coming up during the week and even a home visit which really helped us all feel part of the family. Can't recommend highly enough.

Our daughter has been attending Little Angels Stoke for nearly a year and a half now and she thoroughly enjoys her time there. The staff are exceptionally friendly and caring and from the first morning when I dropped her off and we were both in tears, the staff rang me twice to reassure me that all was well and put my mind wholly at ease. The children always seem to be engaged with such a multitude of activities throughout each session including cooking, arts and crafts, physical play, music and drama, our daughter comes away talking nine to the dozen about all of the fun she has had, often laden with paintings and crafts she has made. I couldn’t recommend this fantastic nursery enough.

Public & Preparatory Schools

Reed's School

Sandy Ln, Cobham KT11 2ES, UK – 01932 869044

It is hard to know where to begin when reviewing Reed's School - the list of positives is so long! The achievements of its pupils cover an astonishing range, from sport, music, drama and arts to public speaking, CCF, charitable & community service and, of course, first and foremost - education. Although day pupils are in the majority, the whole ethos of the school is based on a boarding school template and the vision of the Founder, Andrew Reed, where every pupil benefits from the structure of pastoral care and support that pervades the school - and the students demonstrate the results of this every time I visit. Academically, Reed's has demonstrated over many years its ability to "add value" in the educational results of its students. Equally importantly, students leave the school having gained so much more in terms of their maturity, personality, responsibility, ambition and potential. Reed's really is a school to be proud of, as a quick review of their web sites and published literature will clearly demonstrate. The "rogue" posts from overseas hackers are fairly obvious to spot, and should be ignored. And, by the way, the school meals are excellent!!

I was a pupil at this school when it catered almost exclusively for fatherless children over fifty years ago. Then it provided an excellent education on British public boarding school lines which enabled many to achieve much. Now, responding to the changing society in the modern UK and the number of fatherless children reducing, it provides top rate Public School education for day pupils in this stockbroker area. It continues in its original aim in providing for disadvantaged pupils for about 10% of its intake. As a retired teacher in the State system I have returned to the school and was impressed with the way the school had developed continuing to provide excellence in education. I just wish I had been able to offer the pupils I taught the range and quality of education that Reeds continues to provide.

Feltonfleet School

Byfleet Rd, Cobham KT11 1DR, UK – 01932 862264

Outstanding prep school which I think is the perfect size - large enough to provide peer stimulation and be very competitive in most sports, and yet not too big that only the "super-stars" shine. The result is confident, happy children who go on to some of the best schools in the country.

Notre Dame Senior School

Burwood House, Convent Ln, Cobham KT11 1HA, UK – 01932 869990

Great small independent girls school with a strong Catholic ethos. Girls aged, 2 years to 18 years, are well cared for and receive an excellent all-round education. This school caters well for high achievers but does not deselect underperforming pupils (as some schools do) girls are instead encouraged to achieve their potential. Extra curricular activities are fantastic - strong drama and music (with the most spectacular theatre). Full sized swimming pool. New all weather sports pitches.

Great school.
